"Continuous Improvement" is IN!
Progressive ISVs are changing their core
proposition from product to service.
Out with quarterly software updates with bug fixes
and new functionality. In with a constant flow of
improvement.
Continuous improvement (CI) is about developing and delivering
incremental software functionality in a constant flow rather than
in the traditional manner of "Big Bang" releases or versions.
CI positions the ISV as a services rather than a product
company. And being known as the "We solve problems"-guys is a lot
more profitable than being the "We sell licenses"-company.
