Fast-to-Market Product Development
In the March issue of Kuadriga
News, we discussed why we are so fond of SCRUM for offshore
development: it fosters high productivity and keeps geographically
distributed teams focused. But we are no fanatics - and SCRUM is
not a fix-it-all for all situations.
"First things first" - and any team
needs to know its shared objectives and constraints before setting
off. SCRUM is just not very good at those initial phases. Thus, we
have based the initial phases of our Product Development
Methodology on something more traditional than SCURM.
Case Study: Telefaction
Challenge:
TeleFaction is a European company focusing on what is termed Return
on Behavior™. It monitors, measures, reports and provides unique
advice on all contact points between a company and its customers.
The TeleFaction Capture Server measures and maps the customers'
experiences of customer service in all channels. On the front-end,
this software platform is web-based for ease of use. The back-end
interfaces with all of the different systems that a customer
interacts with: phone customer care, internet customer care, mail,
e-mail etc.
